Minnesota Monthly’s 2020 Best Dentists list features nearly 350 of the state’s top oral health providers. But with 3,452 licensed dentists currently operating in the state, (according to the Minnesota Department of Health), how did the publication whittle down the list to include only the best of the best?
Well, they knew that they wanted the list to be peer-nominated. I mean, who knows dentists better than other dentists? So they began by asking more than 2,500 general dentists and dental specialists to name the dental professionals that they would recommend for the care of their own friends and families. They were each allowed to nominate up to three of their colleagues from the most prevalent dental specialties. These distinct categories included the fields of general dentistry, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and prosthodontics.
Once the surveys were all accounted for, the top nominees were assessed based on the results. After confirming the legitimacy of the licenses and their standing with the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, they were left with the list of Minnesota’s Best Dentists of 2020, as chosen by their own peers and colleagues.
When Dr. Siverson took over Forest Lake Smiles, it was with the goal of bringing health and happiness to Forest Lake. His mission to make a positive impact on his community provides him with daily rewards in the form of the grateful grins of his patients.
